Analysis on Level 60 Abyss Gear in Upcoming AION 2.0
2010-03-04
If AION will release more advanced Abyss Gear, it must be Level 60.
To provide higher level medals, AION may open a brand-new Balaur
territory. That is to say, new medals should be earned through a new
Abyss system in AION 2.0.
Consequently, it can be expected that Level 60 Abyss Gear will come out in AION 2.0. Still, the level cap of AION 2.0 will be Level 55, so players have to wait for AION 3.0 to wear such gear. In this way, players will be tempted to keep on playing this game.
What about the gear rank? If Abyss Gear is eternal rank, it seems a bit
exaggerated and luxurious. Therefore, what on earth Level 60 Abyss Gear
is like depends on Level 55 eternal equipment. AION 2.0 is just a
transitional version between fabled equipment and eternal equipment.
Someone said that the constant release of new equipment could make the Warrior
class invincible. Indeed, this concept has been embodied in many games.
However, the warrior class has been also restrained in the later gaming
phase. Why? Sunder Armor skills would be developed to cause more damage
on a character that has higher defense.
On the contrary, the official is more likely to protect some weak
classes like sorcerers, which may break the game's balance. If Level 55
shields debut, they may absorb 1200+ damage and reduce more damage on
players. For example, sorcerers were greatly improved in physical dodge
every time the game was updated.
Based on other Korean games, we can make bold guesses on AION 2.0
skills. Gladiators may continue enhancing AOE skills. Templars may
strengthen defense buffs and increase attack. Assassins may add more
Sunder Armor skills in order to change the embarrassing situation in
face of Gladiators and Templars. Sorcerers may still improve the
resistant ability to physical attacks. Spiritmasters may intensify the
existence of their pets which are likely to be combined with characters
and even bring buffs in the future.
